Author to sign book

Linda Alice Dewey, a former Adrian resident, will sign copies of her book, "Aaron's Crossing: A True Ghost Story," from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Waldenbooks in the Adrian Mall.

The book describes the ghost of an Irish man named Aaron Burke. Dewey says she encountered the ghost in a cemetery near Glen Arbor, where she now lives. The first half of the book tells the story of Burke's life -- including being kidnapped from Ireland and taken to America at the age of 4 -- and the second deals with his attempts to "cross over" after his death.

A review of the book appeared in Tuesday's edition of The Daily Telegram. It is being marketed primarily in Michigan, where Dewey said it has sold nearly 3,000 copies since being released in June. Later this month, "Aaron's Crossing" will arrive at stores in Arizona, where some of the action takes place. It is also available online from amazon.com.

Dewey lived in Adrian from 1976 to 1982, when her name was Linda Bauerle.
