About... Linda Alice Dewey
Born in Detroit, Michigan, Linda Alice Dewey was raised in a family with a metaphysical belief system that did not include ghosts. However, in 1987, she began exploring New Age metaphysics, developing her spiritual skills, and embarked upon a fresh spiritual journey.
First self-published in 2005, Dewey sold thousands of copies herself. The book was picked up by Hampton Roads Publishing in Charlottesville, VA and re-released in 2006. Dewey is currently under contract for a second book to be completed in February 2007.
Linda Alice Dewey studied Music Education at the University of Michigan, and after winning awards as a writer and composer, graduated from Oakland University in 1971. She has since completed post graduate work at both Michigan
State and Northern Arizona Universities and other learning institutions. Linda taught music, art, and remedial reading for nearly twenty years.
This multi-talented author is also an accomplished musician, composer and singer whose range varies from classical to rock and blues. No stranger to the stage, she's performed in musical and theatrical productions all her life. In the 1980's, Linda wrote and produced music jingles for radio and television in Michigan and Arizona.
In addition, Linda Alice Dewey is a fine artist whose works have sold throughout the United States. She has also been a guest writer for local newspapers and ezines.
Linda also teaches workshops at metaphysical bookstores on topics including Spiritual Skill Building, Learning from your Dreams, and Ghosts as well as marketing workshops for authors.
Her current projects include adapting Aaron's Crossing to the stage in a PHANTOM-like musical with original music and a screenplay about the Kassel Mission, the greatest Air Force group loss during World War II.
She has two grown sons and a daughter-in-law. Aaron's Crossing is her first book.
